Overview of Programs
Our programs focus on players first with the goal of long-term development, as noted in our Policy on Long-term Player Development. Our vision, which is supported by our qualified and passionate coaches, develops players so that they may achieve their soccer and life goals. We’ll let other clubs worry about how many championships they may win.

The Youth Development Programs (YDP) is for the 4 to 11 year old who wants to have a solid technical foundation and improve their soccer skills. All the while, we make sure they have fun.
Our Summer YDP and Youth League presents a flexible schedule, which extends the season from May until September. We take time off for two weeks during the summer, from June 30th – July 12th, 2014. This approach helps balance family schedules for soccer and vacation. For those who stay close to home, we also offer weekly summer camps. Click here for the YDP Summer Schedule.
Winter YDP is available for players that want to continue working on those soccer touches. We run this program at the Louis Riel Dome, Saturday afternoons from November to March. Click here for the YDP Winter Schedule.
The YDP programs are offered under the direction of our National B Licensed Club Head Coach, Traian Mateas. Our experienced and qualified staff coaches provide instruction, with assistance from junior coaches in the Club. More details, including fees, can be found under Details and Fees for YDP.
The Youth Competitive teams are intended for the more serious soccer player. This includes more regular training by qualified coaches and competition among teams in the region and across Ontario. We have boys and girls teams from U9 – U21, playing in various leagues. More details, including fees, can be found under Details and Fees for Youth Competitive Programs.
The Club also offers a Club Academy Program (CAP) in partnership Toronto FC. The Academy is specifically for youth players, ages 7-16, who have the athletic abilities, technical skills, game awareness and commitment to the game of football. The goal is to create a challenging environment where they can continue to develop to their maximum potential. The program is directed by the Club Head Coach. Click here to obtain more details on the Academy.
While our focus is on youth soccer development, we do have Senior and U21 teams that play in Ottawa. Some will contend that some of the teams are more recreational teams, but just don’t say that to players on our Oldtimers team! These teams are still very competitive – we have premier level teams for both men and women – and play some nice soccer. More details and fees can be found under Details and Fees for Senior and U21.
